It all begins with an old Leica film camera found in an antique store, followed by a passion to capture human emotion and the intimacy of being alive. Genellynne of Jenelle Au'Clair has been using this camera since she was 18 to tell stories of love and life through the lens. Carefully crafting this skill over a period of 8 years, she is now one of the few masters of film in the United States.
Inspired by her passion for fine art and documentary photography, Genellynne combines the essence of both in her wedding and lifestyle photography. Utilizing film and digital skills, each intimate and up close experience with her clients beautifully tells the raw and honest stories of their lives and the love they have for each other.
I work very closely with Indie Film Lab to develop and process all of my film. This team is consistent, professional, and personable. I have loved working with them the past few years, and am looking forward to the years to come. “Why film?” you may ask. I shoot film because I love the craft and art form of photography. The depth and the quality a photo can get with film; the intimacy and rawness is unlike anything I have ever been able to achieve with digital. Its what makes me passionate and why I love taking pictures. The team at Indie Film Lab has the same vision and will help me guarantee that your photos turn out amazing every time.
